CST Two Wall Concrete Pump Pipe Elbow Structure

  • â‘  Convex Half Inner layer: high chromium cast iron, Its center area has been thickened to add extra wear-resistance.
  • â‘¡ Concave Half Inner Layer: highly wear-resistant 6mm-thick bearing steel.
  • â‘¢ Outer protective layer: high-strength Q355 forged shell.
  • â‘£ Inner Two Ends: 35mm-long high chromium cast iron, with hardness over HRC 62.

Structural innovation

Dual-layer, split structure, gradual thickening from both ends and sides towards the middle, strengthening the wear-resistance of the convex side of the elbow.

Material matching

High-carbon and high-toughness high chromium cast iron is used for the easily worn parts, while cost-effective bearing steel is used for the less impacted areas.

Process optimization

Multiple processes are used, such as casting for the inner of the Convex Half and die forging for the Concave Half inner lining, and welding is used in combination.

Wear-resistant  material matching
â—Ž Developed a high-carbon, high-chromium, high-toughness cast iron through collaboration with researchers within factory and university, which features excellent wear resistance, impact resistance, high toughness, and strength;
â—Ž  Cost-effective bearing steel material is used for the wear-resistant layer of the inner layer of Concave Half, which is formed by die forging.

Multiple process combinations
â—Ž Multiple process combinations achieve mass production of parts with reduced costs;
â—Ž Casting is used for the inner liner of the Convex Half, and molding is used for its outer layer. While, double-layer integral die forging and integral quenching are used for the Concave Half. The precision of the Halves is guaranteed by special machine tools, and automatic welding machines are used for welding.
